Guided Whitetail Deer Hunting Adventure
Our guided hunt is a true adventure of a lifetime and your best chance at harvesting a monster-sized Ontario Trophy Whitetail Buck.
All of our hunting area lies in the heart of the Whitetail Triangle, which is an area featured in deer hunting magazines across Canada. Famous Whitetail Deer hunting towns in Ontario such as Dryden, Kenora, Emo, Fort Frances, Atikokan and Rainy River all circle this extraordinary Whitetail habitat. This is Ontario's hotspot for Whitetail Deer Hunting.
Our hunting area is truly the last place in North America where you can have a fare-chase hunt for wild Whitetails that rival the size of penned-in steroid-filled Frankendeer, which you find on game farms. Our wild Whitetails don't stand in a pen waiting to get shot. This is the real deal and you have to use all your wits and pull all your hunting skills out of your bag to harvest one of these beauties. Our wild Whitetail Bucks are fast, intelligent and stealthy. They move through the thick bush like ghosts so hunters have to be on high alert every second of the hunt. This is why there is a huge advantage having a guide that lives in the area. It's more than a hunt; it's an adventure of a lifetime that will fill your life with energy.

We only offer our Hunts from Oct. 23 to Nov. 16. We do this to coincide with pre-rut and rut. This time period offers you the best chance at a true trophy Ontario whitetail. Deer in our area commonly weigh between 200 and 300+ pounds. Deer score from high 120's to 170's are typical of the Whitetails harvested by our guests. Hunts are offered in 6-night blocks and we only take up to 12 hunters per block.
Our guided hunt cost more than our unguided hunt for good reasons. You are not just paying for the presents of a professional guide with years of experience in the region; there is a great deal of behind-the-scenes work involved. First of all you will be hunting on land reserved for licensed whitetail outfitters, which only 10% of Crown Land is reserved for outfitters and this is the top 10% based on habitat, total whitetail population and the availability of huge bucks. Second, we scout the area in the off-season to study food supplies, general migration and game trails. We know where the big bucks are and single out the really big dominant bucks that stay in the shadows while watching where the Does go and where they will be when the rut starts. Last but not least, Whitetail Deer act differently in different environments and deer hunting strategies that work in other regions don't always work here. So your guide will not only guide you to where the biggest bucks are, they will pour all their knowledge into you to ensure you do everything right and you get your buck.

We hunt a variety of terrain in our vast hunting area such as beaver ponds, swampy lowland areas, new growth clear cuts, old growth clear cuts, thick heavily wooded timber, and rocky terrain. Doing everything right is why Camp Manitou has one of the highest success rates of any Whitetail Deer hunting outfitter in Ontario.
On the evening prior to your hunt, our guides will give you a detailed safety briefing. After the safety briefing, our guides will perform a topographical map reconnaissance of your projected stand areas. We have many stand locations to accommodate the different preferences of our clients, we hunt out of Big Game hang on stands with a shooting rail, Ladder Stands, and Ground Blinds. Each hunter will have a minimum of 2 stands to choose from during the hunt. If you prefer a certain type of stand, please let us know at the time of booking. This allows us to choose the proper stand location for you.
