The Lower Manitou system and a couple of our portage lakes have a small population of Largemouth Bass roaming the waters. On the main lake you will find them held up mainly in Holcroft Bay. You will also find them on 3 of our portage lakes that are located within a few minute's boat ride of the camp.

We fish for Largemouth Bass in many of the same ways as we do for our Smallmouth Bass, most of the patterns and lures are the same. The only thing we do different for the Largemouth Bass is fishing them Texas rigged style with a plastic worm just after the spawn until late summer.
